Upcoming Heritage Auction Browsing

I received the latest Heritage catalog a few days ago. The catalog covers the upcoming Nov. 16-18 Auction in Dallas. The catalogs are always fun to browse and there are some real gems in this selection. You can also view the books online by clicking on the title link above. Check out:

  • Action Comics 1 CGC App. VF- 7.5
  • Batman 1 Kansas City Pedigree VF+ 8.5 (this should be huge!)
  • Amazing Spider-man 1 Nm- 9.2
  • Incredible Hulk 181 CGC 9.6
  • Tales of Suspense #39 CGC 9.0
Plus a lot more high grade and pedigree books. The major auctions seem to really bring out the bidders, so I recommend you also check out the online only "Amazing Comics" auctions. If you are diligent and smart about bidding, you can pick up some gems for a decent price.

Moon Knight Madness!

Moon Knight is getting his own live-action television series. This ever popular, if somewhat underappreciated dark hero has been attracting more attention since the highly successful new comic book series. Now he makes the next step to "superhero stardom" with his television debut. Click on the title link above to get the full story from Marvel Comics.

Marvel Onslaught

Marvel Onslaught is Coming - A Selling Opportunity?

Marvel Comics Onslaught Reborn #1 is due to hit the stands on November 29th. Will this mini-series by Jeff Loeb and Rob Liefield spark some back issue interest and if so what issues will benefit?

The obvious issues to pick up are almost ten years old - the original Heroes Reborn: The Return issues 1-4 and their variant covers (from way back in 1997) and the Heroes Reborn one-shots from 2000. These books have been languishing in the back issue bins and should now get a boost. If you are lucky enough you may even find them in some $.25 bins at conventions. These kind of books are always fun "sleepers" to pick up.

Onslaught's first appearance was in X-men #53 - another book that should benefit from the series. To read more about the character click here. Another great source for information is here.

No doubt the new series will be heavily ordered. Will it be profitable for the collector? I'd say chances are slim.
