In this week’s sales and value update I wanted to take a look at the Walking Dead.  Season 3 of the television series premiered last week and it seems hotter than ever, especially for the comics.

I focused on the first issue in past sales updates, but with this season we see issues featuring key characters really moving for high prices.  Last week a Walking Dead 19, first Michonne, sell for $510 in CGC 9.8 condition.  Pretty impressive.

The hunt is now on for other character first appearances, and the comics are moving fast.

Walking Dead #27, first Governor, CGC 9.8 for $395 last week, CGC 9.4 went for $250.  Heck, even a CGC 9.2 sold for $127.50.

There is also some speculation growing on Walking Dead #61, 1st Chew.

When will it end?

If you’ve read my posts or signed up for the crash course you know I look at modern comics as a get in and out proposition.  It will end at some point, always has.  The questions is how high will these comics go in the meantime?

Your guess is probably as good as mine.
