Stock Market Down? Check Out Comic Book Returns

So how are comic books doing in the down economy and on the heels of a huge stock market drop? Well, if this copy of Amazing Spider-man #1 is any indication, quite well.

This particular copy sold for over $2,000 more than the previous high price this year. It’s impressive to say the least.

Will this behavior continue? Are real assets the place to make money in this challenging economy (at least on the selling end)? We’ll see. In the meantime, the latest free special report for members tackles comic book buying for the investor plus other buying strategies.

Watchmen Movie DOA?

Leave it to the “suits” to ruin the fun. In case you haven’t heard 20th Century Fox is suing Warner over the right to make a film based on the Watchmen graphic novel.

The movie is finished and is being edited…

The teaser trailer is out…

Fans are eagerly awaiting more news and opening day…

It all doesn’t matter. It’s amazing to me that the lawsuit is occurring now. I guess 20th Century Fox likes what they see and realize this movie could be big. Now they want a piece of the action. But will Warner let them or will they just let this movie die on the cutting room floor?

The trial is set for January 6th 2009. Fans are eagerly awaiting the verdict (and threatening to boycott Wolverine!).
